“Grits” is a true crime podcast also an “almost” reality tv show. The podcast started with two great foul-mouthed bayou mamas/GGs and at some point, lady Angel took a leave (right before pandemic) and lady Tammy committed to the idea of — the show must go on – then she dragged a parade of colorful characters into co-hosting the show. In result, this podcast from just one of many fun true crime podcasts that soon spiraled downward real south into a che che couyon riot!! I spent weeks trying to figure out who’s who. Tammy turns out to be just as mad as the stories that are told in the show. If I am a junkie addicted to true crime stories, then Tammy also managed to turn me into a crack head that also addicted to her and her friends and family. Here, I beg y’all post photos of all the cast members. And post all the food and drinks that were consumed… Before, during and after the show. Talk about alcoholic beverages that were consumed during the show, I estimate the volume by now could filled a backyard swimming pool! How they managed to record each episode that is beyond my comprehension.
Hahaha.
Truly, this is the most unique true crime podcast that there is. Let me put it down this way, Tammy – a court accountant turns – a true crime family boss lady with her followers: from a mild mannered but allegedly twice jailed husband (also a great Cajun cook), her millennials CFO / CTO sons, the best friend (Heidi) who took Tammy to pay pilgrimage to Aileen Wuornos’s dive bar, a redneck roofer biz wiz (a close family friend with a radio face – who is possibly having a bromance with Tammy’s husband), a boutique salon beautician, a healthcare pro, nurses, butt wipe inventor, musician, resort owner, graphic designer, ATV 4-wheeler repairman… and the list goes on.
The crime stories in this podcast were deadly, however, Tammy, Angel and their Grits Dynasty are deadly funny but also humanly wonderful. Make a pass, I adore this podcast.
